Graduate Record Examinations

The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for many graduate schools in the United States and Canada and in few other countries. The GRE exam pattern consists of Analytical Writing – one section made up of two tasks, Verbal Reasoning – two sections with 20 questions in each section, and Quantitative Reasoning – two sections with 20 questions in each section.

There are two versions of the GRE: the GRE General Test and the GRE Subject Test.

  • GRE General Test

    The GRE General Test is a standardized test used to assess graduate knowledge of Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. GRE scores are accepted by thousands of graduate and business programs worldwide.

  • GRE Subject Test

    The GRE Subject Test is a subject specific standardized test used to assess graduate knowledge of Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing in much detailed and scoped manner as required for specific subject field. GRE Subject test are intended for students who have an undergraduate major or extensive background in one of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. GRE Subject Test scores are used by admissions or fellowship panels to supplement your undergraduate records, recommendation letters and other qualifications for graduate-level study.
