Which are the requirements for student visa in Ireland

International students coming from a state other than the EU should contact the Irish diplomatic mission in their home country or neighbouring country to acquire a student visa. Visa processing depending on the workload at the embassy takes one month or more.

Students will be asked to supply the following information:

Basic requirements for student visa filing

  • A Valid passport book
  • Birth certificate
  • Date, place and mode of arrival in Ireland – Either staying with a family while studying or stay on campus hostels
  • Letter from University/College indicating that they have been offered a place in a recognized educational establishment to study a specific course at a specific duration
  • Letter indicating the source of funding to cover fees and maintenance – self sponsored or parents or third party sponsorship
  • Recent passport photographs
  • Visa application fee
