Be it undergraduate or Graduate studies, one need to know how to prepare and the documents to gather in order to have a successful admission.
In one’s quest to study in Canada, one needs to start his journey 6 or 8months ahead of the start of his course. For example, if you want to enroll for the September admissions, one needs to start his admission application in January. This gives you ample time to prepare for your visa processing and your journey to travel to Canada.
For Canada admissions into Certificate, Diploma or undergraduate courses, one must have the following documents;
- WASSCE Certificate
- Diploma or HND Certificate (if you’ve already completed a diploma course and you want to further do an undergraduate course)
- School transcript (can be retrieved from your formal High school)
- Passport
- Letter of proficiency in English
- IELTS (not compulsory for most Universities and colleges)
- WAEC Scratch card
For Graduate studies, these are the documents one must prepare;
- Degree Certificate
- Transcript
- Passport
- Letter of proficiency in English
- Personal statement /Letter of intent
- Resume / CV
- References
Note that, in your admission application you MAY pay application fees ranging from CAD50.00 to CAD200.00 depending on the course and school. Most schools and courses EXEMPTS payment of admission application fees.
